When will T2202 Certificates be available for 2023?
A T2202 Certificate is produced at the end of a calendar year. The 2023 form will be available at the end of February 2024.

How do I know what is eligible?
Information regarding the eligibility of amounts is available on the听.
Only fees paid for the calendar year which you were enrolled听will be reported on the tax form.
How come all of the fees I paid are not on my T2202 Certificate?
Not all Student Fees are eligible. Information regarding eligibility is available on the听.
Why don't I qualify for full-time enrolment?
听诲别蹿颈苍别蝉听full-time enrolment听as being in a program that lasts at least three consecutive weeks and has a minimum of 10 hours of instruction or work in the program each week (not including study time).
I didn't attend any courses. Why do I have a T2202 Certificate?
An Application Fee, Deposit and/or Tuition was paid, therefore, you are eligible to receive a T2202 Certificate.
I am an International Student, why do I have a T2202 Certificate?

Why is Camosun asking for my Social Insurance Number (SIN)?
Effective as of the 2019 tax year, all post-secondary institutions are required to provide the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with SINs on the T2202. Information about Authorized Federal use of the SIN can be found on the听.

I am an International Student. Am I required to provide a SIN?
If you are filing a Canadian tax return, you are required to provide your SIN. Effective as of the 2019 tax year, Camosun is required to provide the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with each student's SIN on the T2202. If you have any questions, contact听Camosun International.
I forgot my SIN or don鈥檛 have one! How do I get it?
The easiest way to access your SIN is to consult your most recent Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency. If this isn鈥檛 available, you can request a confirmation of SIN from Service Canada. The Government of Canada鈥檚听听website will provide you with details on what documentation you will need to request a confirmation.
What if my T2202 Certificate doesn't have my new address?
Once your T2202 form has been created and submitted to CRA your address can't be added to the form. It is important to keep your contact information updated. Log into听听and update your User Profile.
Are Continuing Education (ProSIT) course fees tax deductible?
Courses that are GST exempt (formerly HST exempt) and cost more than $100 are tax-deductible. If you paid GST (itemized on your receipt) your course is not eligible.
What's the difference between a T2202, T4A and T4 form?

If you received financial assistance from Camosun in the form of a grant, bursary or award, a T4A for tax purposes will be issued to you for the cumulative amount. This may include, but not limited to,听,听bursaries,听scholarships, or other awards received through the College within the tax (calendar) year. Amounts on T4As are considered "other income." - T4 Statement of Remuneration Paid
A T4 is issued by an employer to employees for employment income they earned in the calendar year.
